Little Hickories: Autumn Foraging / October 6th, 2024

This event is ideally for ages 3-15 years old (contact me if you have questions).

During this 1-hour class we will search for autumn wild edibles in a group setting while also engaging in an open discussion about what nature means to us, why it's important to our overall health and what stories it has to tell us. Space for this event is limited. *Every child must have an adult present with them at the event (admission price is per person). This class is limited to 16 individuals.

- Basics on plant and mushroom identification
- Foraging safety and sustainable gathering methods
- Autumn season ecology/phenology basics
- The importance of establishing a strong connection to nature
- Advice on interacting with wilderness which will give you and your child the comfort, confidence, and desire of spending more time surrounded in it and enjoying it immensely.

When: Sunday October 6th, 2024 from 11:00am-12:00pm.

Cancellation policy: If you choose to cancel your ticket(s), do so at least 30 days before the scheduled date of the workshop. Your ticket purchase will be eligible for a 50% refund if canceled at least thirty days prior to the workshop event date. If canceled sooner than 30 days from the date of the workshop, there’s no refunds.
