Autumn is a wonderful time to be a forager!
This foraging workshop will be focused on the edible nuts, plants, fruits & fungi that can be found in a wooded city park in early October. The abundance of such wild edibles can't be overstated given the proper amount of rain and cooling temperatures. We'll go over the identification of various present wild edibles and will discuss how to SAFELY & sustainably harvest, ethnobotanical traditions, how to incorporate wild foods into nutritious delicious dishes and how to preserve them. This workshop takes place in a park and walking upwards of 1.5 miles is likely. There will be a waiver to fill out upon purchase of admission tickets that’s required to join us.
Sunday October 17th, 2021 @ 9:00am - 12:00pm
Cancellation notice: If you choose to cancel your ticket(s), please do so at least 30 days before the scheduled workshop. Your ticket purchase will be eligible for a 50% refund if canceled thirty days prior to the workshop event date. If canceled after, there’s no refunds. If you don't show up to the event for any reason, there's absolutely no refunds. Due to the limited class sizes (roughly 15-17 people per workshop), there's no policy where you can transfer your ticket(s) to a different workshop than the one you originally booked UNLESS it's not full. If you choose to do this, you're responsible for contacting us with at least 30 days notice prior to the workshop date you've booked.
