We are wild beings, me mustn’t forget that nor should we deny our natural wildness to our children. This interactive engaging outdoor workshop will celebrate our wildness and our senses. During this workshop, we’ll hike along a 1.8 mile forested trail, observing and interacting with May's wild food offerings (chickweed, pine needles, cattails, sorrel, fungi and more). We will discuss the wild foods and their importance to the forest creatures and how people have traditionally used them in their lives as food and as medicine for several thousands of years. In addition to wild foods, we will observe trees as they begin to take shape with their new seasons foliage, rocks making up stream beds and signs of wildlife and possibly their presence.
This workshop is offered for children of any ages, with a single accompanying parent required. The $40.00 ticket is per person (ex. family of four would need to book 4 tickets). There will be a waiver to fill out upon purchase of tickets that’s required to join us.
