Making Elderberry Syrup / September 8th, 2024
Come late summer, countless pounds of elderberries ripen all throughout the southeastern region of North America. These berries are highly nutritious and are a superior resource for humans who wish to bolster their immune systems during the autumn and winter months. Join George Barnett for an afternoon as he discusses the identification, harvesting, and processing of elderberries. During this workshop, he will focus heavily on the process of making homemade elderberry syrup from start to finish. All attending will go home with a jar of wildcrafted elderberry syrup and a printout of my favorite elderberry syrup recipe. This class is limited to 25 individuals. * For people who purchase the workshop admission and a copy of my "Foraging Kentucky" book, note that the books will be handed out in-person at the beginning of the workshop event.
