Little Hickories: Foraging Lessons for Youth in Nature / June 24th, 2023

As a way of introducing our newest child program, "Little Hickories", we are thrilled to bring you and your children this first event to what will become an ongoing series. This event is ideally for ages 3-15 years old (contact me if you have questions).

During this 2-hour class we will explore on 70 acres of beautiful privately owned land in the Inner Bluegrass region of Kentucky along the Salt River. We will search for wild edibles in a group setting while also engaging in an open discussion about what nature means to us, why it's important to our overall health and what stories it has to tell us. Every child must have an adult present with them at the event (ticket price is per person).

- Foraging safety and sustainable practices
- Plant ecology basics
- How to interact with wilderness that will give you and your child the comfort, confidence and desire of spending more time surrounded in it and enjoying it immensely.

Cancellation policy: If you choose to cancel your spot(s), do so at least 30 days before the scheduled date of the workshop. Your purchase will be eligible for a 50% refund if canceled at least thirty days prior to the workshop event date. If canceled sooner than 30 days from the date of the workshop, there’s no refunds.
